Amazon Blaze : A dual core processor solar energy powered Android phone(To be launched))

Amazon is at it again. After introducing the Amazon App Store and its Amazon Cloud service, the retail giant looks set to release a dual-core Android smartphone with a massive 4.3-inch display, 5-megapixel camera and even a solar panel at the back. The Android smartphone is called the Blaze and AndroidPolice has managed to snag some exclusive shots of the good looking Android.Amazon is preparing to launch the smartphone by this summer. The Smartphone will be running Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) and has its own UI called ‘Blaze UI’, which will be tightly integrated with Amazon’s many services including books, apps, music, and so on.

Amazon Blaze Key Features :

  • 4.3-inch Mirasol display
  • 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm MSM8660 processor
  • 512MB of RAM
  • 32GB of internal storage
  • 8GB microSD card included
  • 1.3MP front-facing camera
  • 5MP rear camera
  • MHL (Mobile High-Definition Link) port for both microUSB and microHDMI
  • DLNA connectivity
  • NFC chip
  • Bluetooth 2.1/3.0
  • GSM/HSPA+ on AT&T and possibly a Verizon variant, but we’re not sure yet
  • 9.25mm thick
  • 120g weight
  • 1700mAh Lithium Ion battery
  • Solar panel on battery cover
At First glance as you can see from the images , I think the smartphone has great design and you can see the generic Android UI is nicely customized. According to me the Highlight features of the Mobile are ‘Mirasol’ display which doesn’t need backlighting to display text or images and this makes it energy-efficient. Another Feature I believe which draw users attention is solar Charging.
